After cutting my finger with a Stanley knife, I ended up in Broomfield A&E and being seen to by Dr Jos.
He managed my injury with delicacy and compassion during my treatment. He made sure that my anaesthetic was completely working before carrying out the required stitching on my finger.
Dr Jos, was courteous throughout my treatment and I didn’t feel that I couldn’t ask what the next stages were or feel like I was a burden to an already busy A&E department.
I would thoroughly recommend Dr Jos as an expert practitioner and for his medical prowess..
I am on a Bart’s Secondary Breast Cancer immunotherapy trial, have complex health conditions arising from a mastectomy, chemo and radiotherapy in 2005, heart issues following an earlier Marsden trial, and had spent 4 spdays in Barts ITU ( 11 total ) in Dec 2019.
I was asked to visit St George's by my Bart's Drs on 31 Dec because that morning's blood tests showed raised troponin. Dr Gotha took charge immediately on receiving my first ecg and blood test. His manner was exceptionally re- assuring - he had already contacted my Bart's Doctor so fully understood my health issues, the priorities, & had a clear plan for next steps. He listened carefully to facts I shared, kept me posted on developments as my case progressed & even find me a much needed sandwich! . When I left at 7.30pm on New Year's Eve I felt totally confident that all would be well and it was. Thoroughly professional, caring, competent and human, thank you .
Dr Selwyn-Gotha looked after my father in A&E at the weekend. He was absolutely brilliant, very caring, professional and even gave up his lunch break to finish off my Dad's treatment so that we could go home. I would highly recommend him.
I came into St George’s A&E having seen my GP who recommended I go straight in. I have previously had an episode from SVT and my heart rate was high although not at SVT level but had it had been at this level for several hours. I was feeling very anxious. I was seen by Dr Selwyn-Gotha. The Doctor was kind and calm. He was careful to listen and respond to my questions he didn’t make me feel rushed he reassured me that he would check everything and that he would answer any of my questions. I was pleased to have seen him.
I was very impressed with my consultation with Dr. Jos. He listened to me, had
good interaction and eye contact and a sense of humor. I found him to be caring
and very easy to talk to which is good when you are feeling stressed and in pain.
He did his very best to help me. A credit to St. George's.
As a 75 year old my only disappointment was that I asked if he could send me out
with a fit body of a 20 year old but he could not!
